Hi! I’m Megan Lebre, founder and host of South Bay Buzz — the South Bay LA storytelling podcast.
South Bay Buzz began in 2020 as a simple passion project: supporting friends’ businesses and sharing the stories behind the places we love across the South Bay of Los Angeles. What started as heartfelt social posts quickly grew into a trusted hyper-local storytelling platform connecting neighbors with the founders, creatives, and community builders shaping life here.
Today, South Bay Buzz centers around the podcast — joy-filled, heart-led conversations that highlight the people building the culture, businesses, and community of our special corner of LA. Each episode creates space for authentic conversation, where neighbors share the journeys, ideas, and experiences shaping the South Bay today.
As a fifth-generation Angeleno and mom of three, I believe deeply in the power of local stories to foster connection, celebrate the people around us, and preserve the evolving legacy of the South Bay for generations to come.
Since 2020, South Bay Buzz has organically grown into a trusted, hyper-local storytelling platform, connecting 6K+ highly engaged South Bay locals with the businesses, experiences, and people shaping our community.

From Social Media to Podcast
After several years of sharing South Bay LA stories through social media, I wanted the moments I loved the most — the behind-the-scenes deeper conversations — to become the focus of my work. Podcasting became the natural next chapter for South Bay Buzz.
I feel the happiest and most present in these conversations — listening, learning, laughing, and empathizing in the humanity of the stories that connect us.
